In the ninth book, the second to last, Bobby is still trying
to beat Saint Dane. He has returned to the island after defeating
the Dador. He expects Saint Dane to be trapped with him on Ibara,
but Dane has made flighters unearth the flume on Veelox. Now
that they are able to travel again, has Bobby given up as lead
traveler, or has he been replaced?
