Missing
by Catherine MacPhail

Maxine, a 13 year old girl, is a sister of Derek. Derek, who is a few years older than Maxine and even more trouble, ran away ten months ago. Maxine feels as if Derek's disappearance has left no room for her in her family. Eventually they find a body, supposedly Derek's, and this causes twice the wake of emotions for Maxine's family. But then Maxine starts getting calls and feels as if she is being watched. At first she thinks that it is a crank caller but in the end it turns out to be Derek! I did enjoy this book and would recommend it to anyone looking for a bit of mystery from the eyes of a thirteen year old girl.
