Flipped
by Wendelin Van Draanen

The book Flipped reminds me of a regular life of a girl and a boy. A boy moves in across the street from a girl the same age. The girl meets the guy and BAM; she has a crush on him. Although he doesn't like her, she still likes him. As they get older, he likes her, but she doesn't like him. Finally, they both like each other.

A boy named Bryce and his family moved into a house across the street from a girl named Juli. They're both seven, and Bryce thinks she's annoying, and she thinks he's cute. She hatches chicks for her science fair project, and when they grow into chickens, she sells eggs to two people and gives them to Bryce. Bryce's family has been throwing away the eggs because they're afraid of salmonella poisoning. Bryce and his best friend make fun of her retarded uncle. She hates him, and he starts to like her, and this is in the eighth grade.
