Ranks areas from all over the United States on specific areas of interest that include but are not limited to appliance sales, total retail sales, and disposable income. It also has individual sections on newspapers that cover the United States and breakdowns of areas of the United States in the categories of population, ages, and ethnicity. An annual publication.

Advertising Red Books
BR 659.112 Advertising
This publication is divided into two volumes, Advertisers Indexes, and Business Classifications. The advertisers indexes provide information on 16,000 companies in the United States and Canada that pay for $50,000 or more on nationwide or regional campaigns of advertising. Companies can be found based on the following categories: products by state, brands and products, SIC code, and personnel. The business classifications volume groups together companies based on the products they sell or the services they provide and also gives information on companies individually.

Databases

The library district subscribes to several online databases that may help you with your research. Those with a "Remote Access" button can be used from your home computer with a valid library card.

Following the link to the electronic databases will take you out of the Business & Public Management web pages and into the main library pages. Go to the library's Electronic Databases for Business & Public Management to find the databases purchased specifically to support business services.

For information regarding advertising and marketing, you may want to try Business Decision Pro, Dunn & Bradstreet Million Dollar Database or Reference USA.

With Business Decision Pro you are able to find out information about your targeted marketing location. How much money do people in a certain radius spend on clothing? You can find this type of information and much more using Business Decision Pro.

You might want to use Dunn & Bradstreet or Reference USA to create a marketing list. You can download addresses, phone numbers, and names of executives using these databases. By limiting your search by zip code and SIC code, you can get a list that specifically meets your needs.
