The St. Charles County Historical Society is the repository of over 15,000 photographs. We are currently in the process of cataloging and digitizing the photographs to make them available to the public. It would be a shame to not share these people and places and events of the past with us in the present.

Conditions and Terms of Photograph Duplication
1. Permission for reproduction or use of photographs will be allowed under written agreement identifying the requestor, the item(s) to be duplicated, a statement of intended use, and agreement to abide by the conditions required by the St. Charles County Historical Society.
2. Permission is granted for one-time use only, and only for the use specified in the agreement's "statement of intended use." Any additional use may not be made without prior written consent of the Society. The requestor will not permit others to reproduce the photograph or any facsimile of it.
3. Photographs in the Society's collections may be protected by copyright law. The requestor assumes the responsibility of copyright and invasion of privacy that arise in copying and in the use made of these materials. The Society reserves the right to refuse permisson if, in its judgment, the request may violate copyright law.
4. Copying fees will be assessed per the schedule below. Because of the many options available, print prices for non-scheduled requests will be quoted on a per case basis. The Society will retain any negatives produced. All orders are final and must be prepaid.
5. User fees will be charged for direct or indirect use of a reproduction in a medium intended to produce a profit. These fees are in addition to copying costs.
6. The Society must receive credit if an image is exhibited in public or published. The following credit line must appear with each copy: Photo courtesy of the St. Charles County Historical Society.
7. The St. Charles County Historical Society shall receive, at no charge, one copy of the publication in which the photographic reproduction appears.
8. The St. Charles County Historical Society reserves the right to deny reproduction of fragile, rare or valuable material. It reserves the right to limit the number of photographic copies.

*All prices are subject to change. Fees will be waived for photographs used by news media in newspaper articles, newscasts, or non-commercial documentaries.

There will be a $5.00 per order shipping and mailing charge. There is no mailing charge for emailing your photo.
