Meeting come to order- 3:12 PM

Members present- Barb Mittelbuscher, Tim De Ghelder, Deborah Tomich, Bob Houck,

Old Business

Motion by Barb Mittelbuscher to accept minutes from meeting dated April 27th , 2000.

Second- Tim De Ghelder

Passed Unanimously

Motion by Barb Mittelbuscher to submit minutes to members via e-mail at least one week before scheduled meeting.

Tim De Ghelder passed around signup sheet for board directory information.

Financial Report- Bob Houck

Went over Schwab Account holdings-

Also informed that the Friends of the Library raised $38,000

Logo and letterhead passed out for viewing-

Decided on shade of green color 561(u)

New Business

Bob Houck mentioned the possibility of having a non-profit incubator in the district. This could be a possible innovative program for the SCCCLD. This might be a possible Foundation Sponsored program. We will know more about this program at a later date.

Magazine Sponsorship Program-

Concerns about magazines that are discontinued-

Motion made by Barb Mittelbuscher to adopt options for magazines that are discontinued and authorize Bob Houck to issue refund checks to sponsors should they choose to take pro-rated refunds-

  1. Contact and Inform Donor
  2. They can change sponsorship to a different magazine at no charge or receive a pro-rated refund based on the number of months remaining in their annual sponsorship.

Motion made by Tim De Ghelder- Magazine sponsorships are available after the press release appears in the local press.

It was noted that board nominations were approved at the April 27th meeting.

Insurance Information-

Motion made by Barb Mittelbuscher to spend $250 for liability insurance for board members under the SCCCLD policy.

Motion made by Barb Mittelbuscher for Bob Houck to go ahead and setup bonding signatures-

Motion made by Barb Mittelbuscher to spend $500 on protective magazine covers. The foundation will purchase through SCCCLD account.
