Foundation Minutes- Board Meeting

Call to order- 3:38PM

Roll call- Debbie Tomich, Rose Mack, Lorna Frahm, Bill Zollman, Tim DeGhelder,Bob Houck, Carl Sandstedt.

Motion by Bill Zollman to accept minutes from March 21st meeting.

Financial Report given by Bob Houck  

Bob circulated balance sheet.  Bob Houck supplied all information related to investments summary dated 5/15/2002.   Bob also gave information on all Foundation investments

Staff Liaison's report- 

Bob Houck mentioned the "Meet the author program" - Foundation Sponsorship.

Director's report- Carl Sandstedt

• SCCCLD has been accepted for tele-conference grant- this will enable the library district to hold tele-conferencing.  Will be used for district and general public.

• Administration building coming along

• Old Administration building use as nonprofit center

Old Business

Householder Scholarship- applications are being accepted- Will give out scholarship in September 2002.

Trivia Night Fundraiser- went well raised $1847

Suggestions for next year.

Next year date set- Saturday April 26th, 2003.

Civic Park- free rent (Tim will call- City of O'fallon)

Expansion of the Foundation Board- 

Accepted- extended 3-year term

Debbie Tomich- term through 2005

Lorna Frahm- term through 2005

Tim DeGhelder- term through 2005

Suggestions for board growth- possibly Mark Rudolph

Motion by Bill Zollmann to designate the Foundation Annual meeting on July 18, 2002.

Second by Rose Mack

Motion passed

New  Business-

Motion by Rose Mack to appoint Schowalter & Jabouri for FY 2002 audit, and allow Bob Houck to sign necessary papers.

Second Bill Zollmann.

Motion passed.

New Business

Appointment of Nominating Committee, FY03 Officers
