March 16th, 2000 Minutes



Held at Spencer Road Branch at 3:00pm.

Members Present: Tim De Ghelder, Barb Mittelbuscher, Lorna Frahm, Debbie Tomich, Also present were Bob Houck Planning and Development Coordinator ,
and Carl Sandstedt Director of SCCCLD.

Motion Lorna Frahm to pass minutes from meeting April 22, 1999.

Old Business- 

*Bob Houck clarified the 501(c)3 status for the foundation, redefined, less 

broad.

*Bob Houck informed members that "tax except letter" was in the works.

*Board was asked to think of potential members of would like to serve as a 

board member for the foundation.



Motion made by Lorna Frahm to make an amendment to Article I, Section 2, Purposes; and Article 1, Section 6, Dissolution by-laws guidelines.

New Business 

Discussion of use of investment funds approximately $21,000 

Charles Schwabb only investor to meet all requirements.

Motion made by Lorna Frahm to send a letter to the Friends of the Library to format an account (at Charles Schwabb) in the name the St. Charles City-County
Library Foundation. The account would include to transfer of assets up to the sum of $235,000.

Fundraising Issues-

Tim DeGhelder showed the board details of the Foundation Magazine Sponsorship Program. Board asked Tim to make contract forms for program.

Motion by Lorna Frahm for Foundation to institute Foundation Magazine Sponsorhip Program.
