Meeting call to order at 3:14pm

Financial Report- Given by Bob Houck- Covered investment portfolio- Firststar account opened.

Lorna Frahm- Could we contact other organizations about Barb Mittelbuscher's service. (Rotary, Chamber, Historical Society)
Board would like to have Grapevine submitted digitally.
Jim K- possible Foundation sponsored project could be "Reef Aquarium", promote foundation and education.
Library Director comments- updated new administration building, possible friends of library to use old space and also rent some, LISTEN 2000 licensing.
Old Business-
Periodical Sponsorship- Members would like demo magazines - Tim will take care of that.
Householder Scholarship- Amount, Criteria, Timeline ($2596.00 available funds) Board members will be looking at parameters for issuing scholarship money for the Fall 2001.
Memorials to Barbara Mittelbuscher- Disposition to local history- ($508) tabled until funds mature. Would like to show recognition for Barb's community service..
New Business-
Matching for general donation- (Ideas)
Brochure shows the difference between Foundation and Library, targeted toward lawyers and accountants
Jim Koetting- Monthly giving program, program to show benefits of giving to charity. Warm audience- friends, volunteer, staff, users. 45 minute program.
Adoption of Library Rooms-
Brochures "Why a Foundation" Community College.
Book Due Date Slips- Promotion of Library Foundation on book slip- would reach all users of library.
Proposal for St. Charles County Arts Council- scholarship program- maybe next year
Would like to expand Foundation Board Members by two- potential members.
