Ryan Burson

State Demographer

Missouri Office of Administration

Ryan has served the State since 1990. His first professional job in Jefferson City was to assist in state legislative redistricting following the 1980 census. Ryan is an active member of the Missouri State Census Data Center, which is led by the Missouri State Library. The Data Center provides census and current demographic information to libraries, governments and businesses throughout the state. Between censuses he collaborates with the US Census Bureau to produce official demographic estimates and projections for Missouri.

Ryan was trained in mathematics and geography at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He received his MA in geography in 1980. Ryan hails from Mt. Vernon, Missouri, a small town in the heart of the Ozarks.

Darren May

Associate Planner2/GIS Specialist

St. Charles County Planning Department

Darren has done all the mapping for the St. Charles County 2010 Master Plan. Darren is the St. Charles County representative to the metro-area American Statistical Association. He has been with the county Planning Department since December of 1990.

Darren was trained in geography and history at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He received his MA in geography from UMC as well as his undergraduate degree with a major in geography and a minor in history.

Darren has lived in the St. Louis area since 1975 and in St. Charles County for the past five years.
