Employee Classifications

Track Employees

Tracked employees are those staff members who salaries range from Salary Track A through N as shown on the salary schedule in the Policy Manual. Each track has 6 steps. Progression from one step to the next within the track will be granted to an employee on his/her anniversary date when satisfactory performance has been demonstrated.

Salary anniversary date will be the employee’s date of hire. If an employee is promoted, demoted, or reclassified to another salary track, the salary anniversary date will change.

Non-Track Employees

Non-track employees are the Library Pages whose hourly wage is labeled non-track on the Salary Schedule. The hourly wage for all non-track employees shall be set by the Board of Trustees and will be adjusted annually when the Board approves general salary adjustments. Non-track employees receive a step increase after 6 months and 2 years of satisfactory employment but are not part of the salary track pay schedule.

Temporary Employees

The Library District may hire temporary employees who are hired for a specific period of time. Temporaries may be hired to work on Sundays, during the summers, in the Float Pool, or to fill a temporary vacancy created by a long term leave. Temporary employees are not regular employees and are not entitled to benefits.
