Annual Leave

Employees receive annual leave based on hours worked and years of service.  Full time employees receive 100 hours per year with increases at 3, 8 and 15 years of service.  Part time non-exempt employees accrue annual leave hours for a specified number of hours worked.  Part time exempt employees accrue annual leave at a rate based upon budgeted hours in a pay period.  The rate for accrual is included in the Policy Manual.

If an employee is on paid leave, such as vacation or extended sick leave, he/she will continue to accrue annual leave.

All requests for annual leave shall be approved by the immediate supervisor prior to the taking of the leave.  Annual leave will not be advanced.

The maximum amount of accrued annual leave is 240 hours.  Upon termination of employment, payment will be made for unused annual leave up to 240 hours.
